All PPC members must adhere to the following membership requirements:
- Agree to support the PPC’s coalition principles and annual policy agenda, and abide by PPC’s operating norms and procedures.
- Commit to advancing the coalition’s goals by actively participating in coalition activities.
- Maintain an active representative presence advocating with federal lawmakers in Washington, D.C.
- Maintain good standing within the patient advocacy community.
- Maintain confidentiality of coalition activities.
- Engage in advocacy at the national/federal level: to advocate for health care coverage to be affordable, accessible, adequate, and understandable.
- Advocate on multiple issues relating to the PPC principles. Organizations that exist to advocate on only one legislative or regulatory issue will not be considered for membership.
- Agree to periodic reviews of membership and activities on an as-needed basis and be subject to discipline for not maintaining adequate activity in support of the PPC’s agenda and/or for violating the PPC’s operating norms, practices and procedures.
- Make financial contributions according to a sliding scale based on organizational size.
